This is a lightly used Vivitek H5085 in fully original, unopened condition with under 300 hours on the original lamp. Released as Vivitek’s flagship home cinema model, it is built around a 0.65-inch DarkChip3 DMD chip from Texas Instruments, delivering a native 1920 x 1080 resolution, 1800 ANSI lumens, and a rated contrast ratio of 50,000:1. From the DLP chip to the lens and processing engine, this unit shares the same core platform as the InFocus SP8604 and Optoma HD86—three flagship projectors from the same generation built on Texas Instruments’ reference design.
The H5085 earned ISFccc certification for professional video calibration. It features a Dynamic Iris and DynamicBlack system that continuously adjusts contrast frame-by-frame, plus Vivimotion processing for smooth motion handling. The center-mounted lens supports interchangeable options—standard, short-throw, and long-throw—making it flexible for different room sizes. A trio of HDMI 1.3 inputs, motorized lens shift, and built-in HDMI signal amplification round out the feature set of a machine that was designed to compete at the top of its class.
Like the SP8604 and HD86, this is a dedicated dark-room home theater projector. Its light output is tuned for cinematic contrast, not conference-room brightness. It belongs in a light-controlled theater space, not an office.
